Who we are

What data we collect and why

Beta signup (aiuda.se)

• Name and email address — collected with your explicit consent when you request beta access. Used to provide access and, if you opt in, to send occasional product updates. Legal basis: consent (GDPR Art. 6.1.a).
• Newsletter preference — stored alongside your signup if you opt in to product news.

Account and login (Google sign-in)

• Email address, display name and profile photo — received from Google when you sign in. Stored locally on your device and on our servers (Firebase) to identify your account. Legal basis: contract (GDPR Art. 6.1.b).

Usage data

• Credit and quota usage — stored on our servers to enforce fair usage limits per plan.
• Subscription plan — stored to grant access to the correct features.

Research data (AIuda Mentor)

• Research project names and questions — stored in unencrypted form on our servers to enable project listing.
• Chat history and session notes — encrypted on your device before being sent to our servers. We cannot read this content.
• Session log summaries — encrypted on your device before storage. We cannot read this content.

Text submitted for AI processing

• Text you annotate or submit in chat is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. This text is not stored by us beyond the current request. See Anthropic's privacy policy.

Local storage

Both AIuda Reader and AIuda Mentor use your browser's built-in storage (Chrome storage API and localStorage on aiuda.se) to remember your preferences, login state and session data. This is not a cookie but has a similar function. We use localStorage on aiuda.se to remember that you have already completed beta signup.

Who has access

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Google Cloud). Tomas Hultberg has administrative access to unencrypted data (project names, email addresses, usage data). Encrypted content (chat history, notes) cannot be read by anyone without your encryption key.

We do not sell or share your data with third parties, except as required by the services listed above (Google Firebase, Anthropic).

Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, contact info@aiuda.se. You may also withdraw consent for newsletter communication at any time via the same address.

How to delete your data

• Locally stored data: sign out in the extension or clear your browser data.
• Server-side data: contact info@aiuda.se and we will delete your data within 30 days.

Cookies

We do not use cookies. We use browser storage APIs (Chrome storage API, localStorage) instead.

We may update this policy as the products evolve. The latest version is always available at aiuda.se/privacy.html.
